Veliki Snežnik - 1796m, is the highest peak of southern Slovenia. Notranjska viewpoint rising above the land of bears, wolves and lynxes. The view from it reaches from Kvarner Bay and Slovenian sea all the way to the Alps and Ljubljana. Right below the summit is the Draga Karolina hut. The starting point of the described trail is the hamlet of holiday homes at Sviščaki.
