Once the Almkogel really bore high pastures that have long been abandoned and reclaimed by the forest. However, the magnificent view from its summit remains: Nowhere else can one get a better impression of the landscape of the Hinter- and Sengsengebirge. The Almkogel considerably towers over the tangle of valleys and gorges.
