Description: Southern Riffelspitze in Wetterstein Mountains via Höllental near Garmisch ⬇️ ⬇️ CLICK FOR MORE⬇️ ⬇️
Located in front of the Zugspitze towards Garmisch-Partenkirchen is the elongated, forbidding Waxenstein ridge. It separates the Höllental from the Eibsee and, despite its location in a well-developed area, is visited only comparatively rarely. This is mainly due to the incredibly steep slopes of the narrow ridge that stand in the way on the path to the summits. The easiest summit of the ridge is the Southern Riffelspitze, which can be reached with only moderate difficulties from the Riffelscharte. The view from there is fantastic and varied - the long and strenuous ascent from the valley is worth it!
