No real insider tip, but not overcrowded: the Wörner. Viewed from the west, it's a real thick rock block, the kind that whets the appetite. From Isarhorn via Rehbergalm to the 'Wörnergrat' and Wörnersattel a scenic, easy mountain hike - by the way a quiet ascent because most come via Hochlandhütte or from Vereiner Alm. From Wörnersattel a demanding but not too difficult mountain tour (difficulties often I, some sections II). Admittedly as a day tour hardly under eight hours, but a thoroughly successful experience with panoramic views of almost the entire Karwendel.
