Strážovské vrchy - Slopský vrch and Hoľazne (Trenčianska vrchovina)
Above the village of Dolná Poruba located in the Trenčín district, near Dubnica nad Váhom, rises Slopský vrch to 789 m a.s.l. belonging to the Strážovské vrchy mountains. Its name evoking "slopping" denotes waterlogged places and water-filled pits, of which there are several on the peak. The slopes here also feature several springs, for example, the Dubnický potok stream originates here, one of the tributaries of the Váh. The summit of Slopský vrch, offering beautiful views into the adjacent valley and nearby and distant mountains, is partially deforested with a white double cross.
