From Damüls, the Sünserjoch is accessible via the "Seven Hills". The visible Sünsersee from here lies at about 1,800 m between Sünserspitze and Portlahorn. Embedded in the hilly and ravine-crossed landscape at the upper end of the Mellental lies the Sünsalpe.
