Description:
Taormina is a hill town on the east coast of Sicily. It is located near Mount Etna, an active volcano with trails leading to the summit. The town is known for the Ancient Theatre of Taormina, an ancient Greek-Roman theater still in use today. Near the theater, cliffs descending to the sea form coves with sandy beaches. A narrow strip of sand connects to the tiny Isola Bella, which is a nature reserve.
