Follow the summer path over the Eggenreit farmstead to Gsengalmhütte. Usually a track is present, some ascent variants are also possible. In general, however, it is best to ascend along the summer path. The Gsengalmhütte is not reached directly, but one ascends in the cirque hollow east of it upwards (not avalanche-safe) and turns right below the north flank of the Schobermassiv to reach the flatter hollows into the Gsengsattel. Right in a few minutes to Gsenghöhe with summit cross, book and bench.
