Tesáre is a village in Slovakia in the Topoľčany District, Nitra Region. The village is located in the northwestern part of the Nitra Loess Hills at the southeastern foot of Považský Inovec on the upper course of the Zľavský stream. The village has a Roman Catholic church of St. Martin from 1772. Tesáre is a small village with 735 inhabitants. It was formed by merging the parts of Kokošová and Tesáre. The first written mentions of the village date from 1390 under the name Thezer, Kokošová is mentioned in historical records as early as 1256. The name of the village probably relates to the carpentry trade.
