The Eiger is famous for its wall called Eigerwand or North Wall, which is the largest north wall of all the Alps.
The mountain, lower compared to Mont Blanc or Rosa, located in the Swiss Alps, is one of the most famous in the world. For a long time its north wall was considered absolutely inaccessible and was even called 'the Wall of Death or Devil' because of the tragic events that occurred there.
