Description:
Trailrun Riffelscharte is the first quarter of Zugspitzgaudi in summer 2023. This trailrun starts in Hammersbach and leads towards Höllentalklamm via Stangensteig. From Höllentalangerhütte it continues towards Zugspitze. At the junction Riffelscharte to Eibsee it gets very steep. Arrived at Riffelscharte, it goes down again via Riffelschartensteig. At the end of Riffelschartensteig there is a nasty short steep gravel field. From the stop Riffelriß the path gets wider and the return to Hammersbach is mostly downhill. Altogether 24km 1660hm and approx. 5 hours.
