This dual story is part of me and my family: I told it in 1993 in a book and today with this video. My dad, Pietro, and my uncle Paolo (to whom the bivouac is dedicated) were among the main protagonists of its construction. I took care of its maintenance for over twenty years, climbing it forty-five times via all possible routes and completing the Mascabroni traverse in both directions.
