Description: There are few places in the world where sea and mountains meet in such a dramatic way as at Monte Sarmiento in southern Chile. Charles Darwin once called this mountain range 'the most sublime spectacle of Tierra del Fuego'. Located directly at the water and towering over the surrounding ranges, it is visible from hundreds of kilometers away. Its height of 2300 meters may seem small, but even experienced alpinists get sweaty palms at the sight of the steep, icy slopes. The couple Patricia Soto and Rodrigo Fica want to conquer this mountain. A daring venture in which many extreme athletes have already failed.
