Description:
Mayrhofen is a locality in the Schwaz district, in the state of Tyrol, Austria. It lies among the majestic mountains of Tyrol. It is the widest valley south of the Inntal, with green meadows, an impressive lake, and camping sites for visitors. It lends its name to the Zillertal Alps, the glacial section where the Tux Alps are to the west, while the lower grassy peaks of the Kitzbühel Alps are to the east.
