Description:
In 1994 we went from the hiking parking lot at Hintersee up to the northernmost glacier in the Alps, the Blaueis Glacier. The hike leads over Schärtenalm and Blaueishütte up to the then tongue end of the snowfield at about 1750m altitude. The actual glacier lies a bit higher.
