Description:
Ascent from Canfranc village. We take the GR-11 that passes by Refugio de Gabardito and reach Majada baja de Lecherines, with a watering trough, a ruined hut, and another in fairly good condition. At this point, we leave the GR and tackle the slopes veering right (NE) to find green and white markers that lead us to a steep and narrow gully, first grassy then rocky, which takes us to Gruta helada de Lecherines. We stop to visit it and then continue the ascent to a sort of grassy clearing. To our right, we will see a steep grassy hollow dotted with rocks that in NE direction leads us to a col with spectacular views over Valle de Aragón. From there, the most committing but manageable section remains: ascending the rocky ridge to our left, first over inclined slabs with good grip. We emerge at a small col that gives access to the final grassy promontory.
