Ronzo Chienis, Wednesday 3 January 2018 – Back after two winters to 'conquer' Stivo (2054 m), which (then) too much fresh snow prevented safe ascent. Today the Trentino mountain (nicely overlooking Upper Garda) is perfect ramp with many hikers: sky on our side, just cold wind disturbs a bit. Reaching 'Rifugio Stivo – P. Marchetti' wind turns to storm. On summit enveloped and chilled by persistent gusts, so almost immediately back to welcoming refuge, recovering lost warmth and some 'calories'... from good cakes.
