TUC D'AUBAS, ERA TRONA AND TUC D'ARRES

Excursion initially planned for snowshoes, but the total lack of snow forced us to do it on foot. Magnificent hike whether with snow or without, offering a view of one of the wildest parts of the northern slope of the Pyrenees. Easy route very well marked as PR that from Port del Portillon climbs to Coll de Baretja. From here we find stakes with yellow signs that mark the best path to Tuc d'Aubas, from where we just need to follow the ridge to Tuc d'Arres. The return follows a long ridge that descends from Tuc d'Arres and brings us back to Coll de Baretja. Along the way we pass two huts in good condition for overnight stays.
