Description: We are in the south of Tuscany in Italy: between Siena and Grosseto we travel to hot springs near Saturnia, gentle hills with olive groves and cypress avenues. In the Maremma region we visit small villages made of yellow tuff stone like Pitigliano. In this dreamlike cultural landscape, Tamina Kallert shows us Tuscany highlights. She immerses herself in the mysterious world of the Etruscans, the "Tusci", who settled here 3,500 years ago and gave Tuscany its name. She explores the "Serengeti of Tuscany", presents the most beautiful spas, strolls through the Renaissance town of Pienza and enjoys music and wine in Montepulciano. And she meets people with exciting stories: the "Butteri", guardians of the long-horned Maremma cattle, the "eco-fisherman" Paolo Fanciulli and the Wuppertal art historian Hella Nussbaum, who fulfilled her dream of a "house in Tuscany".
