Description:
Video of the ski mountaineering trip to the Galtjoch, a 2109 metre high mountain in the Lechtal Alps, Tyrol. Ascent of about 5 km and 950 metres of altitude difference. The start is from the Rinnen hikers' car park (link to map below). Via a forest road, which you can cut through the forest at several points, you will reach the Ehenbichler Alm hut, at an altitude of 1694 metres, which is open in winter. From here, you then continue along the more scenic part to the summit.
