Description:
From the gate quickly to a junction, left starts our trail 300. Initially flat through a couple of scree from Monte Pria Favella. Trail climbs again, with switchbacks past nice beech wood first, then red firs. Out of the wood, after ~40 min from start, reach Val Canale, largest basin from south side of Monte Pasubio. View opens to magnificent place, first-timers fascinated by beauty at Pasubio's feet. After flat start on left side of Val Canale, ascend zigzagging among large scree boulders, trail well marked and trodden. Val Canale narrows, at some point on right flank leave it via switchbacks steeply up to Strada degli Eroi two turns below Rifugio Achille Papa (1926m).
