Where the river makes a sharp turn, on one side rises the rock from which the Forte di Bard dominates the valley and on the other extends the bridge connecting Bard to the nearby village of Hône. A visit to Bard cannot but start from its historic core to then continue towards the famous Fort. The historic center of Bard is a delightful example of medieval urban layout and a walk through its alleys is equivalent to a dive into lost chivalrous atmospheres.
