Higher up from the very popular ski resort of Limone Piemonte lies this small body of water at the end of the Vallone di Limonetto, set in a rocky basin between Rocca dell'Abisso, Rocca della Bastera and Monte Frisson (it is not uncommon to find snow even late in summer) in an isolated and very wild environment, on one of the least frequented trails in the valley.
