Description: Start from the parking lot in Sant'Ambrogio di Torino under the via ferrata, in the first part it climbs the edge of Precipizio della Bell'Alda. The rocks above the start are very easy and walkable (without major risks even free solo). Then slightly to the right, the first iron steps are attacked, followed by 3 ladders in succession and increasingly exposed. At the end of the ladders, the first jump also ends. Here it is possible to descend on the left via a path leading to S. Ambrogio. Instead, the via ferrata goes decidedly to the right (for those ascending), with a 250m section of gentle ascent on path (partly equipped, but it is really just a path without any rocks). Continue right, circling the mountain and start climbing the second rise. First easy traverse then increasingly steep to a crest and near flat sections then the ladder is attacked (actually what I call ladders are all steps fixed in the rock), where the via ferrata becomes a bit airy. There is still an exit possibility before the summit, both towards S. Ambrogio and towards Chiuse (both indicated with wooden signs). This second part is overall less demanding than the first. Arrived at the top of the via ferrata, continue always right skirting the ancient Sacra Abbey, then descend a steep path that continues, after steep descent, on half-slope and slightly uphill to the left back to the carriage road. From here the entrance to the Abbey is in sight -600m- and it can be visited (do not try to enter directly from the end of the via ferrata!!).
