The medieval old town -Herceg Stjepan Kosača- in Blagaj dominates this small place near Mostar, after whose title 'Herceg' Herzegovina was named.

Blagaj is located on the slopes of Mount Velez under the rock face where the Buna River springs and is framed by the Dervish house. Vulinbrook is a tributary of the Buna.
