Description: Stolac is a small town near Mostar located in the fertile Bregava valley in the otherwise barren and karst Herzegovina. The Vidoski Grad castle is first mentioned in documents in 1375. The Turks expanded it by 1699 into the largest fortress in Herzegovina. Within the fortress walls up to two meters thick and a total of 13 towers, residential houses and mosques arose, 10 cisterns for water and a flour depot.
