Description: The Kaiserstuhl is a mid-range mountain range of volcanic origin that rises in the Upper Rhine Plain between the Black Forest and the Vosges.
The area is known for excellent wines. The central town in Kaiserstuhl is Vogtsburg, consisting of several former wine villages. The settlement Alt-Vogtsburg gave the new town its name.
