Description: Biely kameň - 1135 m a.s.l.
Extremely interesting rocky peak Biely kameň (sometimes also referred to as Biela skala) is located in the northeastern part of the Vtáčnik mountains. Its northern and eastern slopes form a long and very steep rock wall representing a beautiful example of columnar erosional disintegration of lava flows. This disintegration is still ongoing (sometimes cracking can even be heard in the area), which threatens the rocks with detachment. From the summit areas, an excellent semicircular view opens up, from where a large part of the landscape from Veľká Fatra to Štiavnické vrchy can be observed. Currently, there is no marked tourist trail leading to Biely kameň, although a red trail passes around the peak. Visiting the summit areas or areas directly under the rock amphitheater is possible via unofficial paths, but is not recommended to anyone. The rocks are constantly threatening to collapse.
