Description:
The early history of Weinburg is inseparably linked with the history of Waasen Castle, of which only a few wall remnants remain today. Since the 13th century, the development of the place can be traced through various documents. These show that from 1209 onwards, Waasen Castle was inhabited by noble families. In 1279, a Hugo von Weinberg is mentioned.
