The ascent to this impressive peak on 17.1.22 starts in Gluringen. The route runs along the Ritzigerstaffel in a beautiful setting in Goms / Wallis. The view into the Wallis mountain world with its majestic 4000ers opens up further and further. Reaching the summit is quite tricky depending on conditions. Officially, the route traverses the steep summit slope, which in my opinion makes little sense. I climbed directly up the steep ridge (not without risk with snowboard boots and ice axe) and followed the rocky ridge to the summit, which rewarded me with a fantastic panoramic view. Although there had been no fresh snow for about 3 weeks at that point, I still found powder spots on the descent. Super cool ski and splitboard tour away from the crowds!
