Anyone visiting Garmisch-Partenkirchen can't miss the Wank. Various paths lead to the summit. The cable car makes the mountain well accessible for tourism and accordingly popular. For pleasure-seekers and family excursionists who prefer an easy and quieter hike (there is a special recommendation: ), I have something very special: the descent from the summit to the small high plateau between 'Wank' and 'Hoher Fricken' (1,940m) with a stop at Garmisch's most popular excursion destination, the Esterbergalm. After just four hours, you're back in Garmisch.
