Watzmann Hocheck Ascent from Wimbach

A mountain tour where we climbed to the top of the king of the Berchtesgaden Alps, the Watzmann.
From the Wimbachbrücke parking lot via Watzmannhaus to Hocheck and the beautiful summit cross. From Watzmannhaus, the path initially led in serpentines, later over rock to a steel cable secured ascent. Then the path continued slightly ascending west of the ridge to Hocheck. From Hocheck begins the actual Watzmann traverse, which we saved for next time, as we decided very spontaneously to do this tour and had to plan the drive to and from Munich. The descent was therefore identical to the ascent path.
