Description:
In good weather, we climbed the western Karwendelspitze in Mittenwald today. The ascent is via Dammkar and Dammkarhütte.
We hike from the mountain station of the Karwendelbahn through several hairpin turns up the forest and over a scree field to the Dammkarhütte (about 2h). From here it becomes a really beautiful mountaineering tour to the summit of Karwendelspitze. Definitely pack a rockfall helmet!
