Description: There's a desire for a three-thousander and I choose Monte Albergian from Pragelato (Val Chisone, Turin). We have to overcome 1,500 meters of elevation gain to reach the 3,041-meter summit. I've read the reports and some rate the trail as Hikers (E), others as Expert Hikers (EE). So the question is: will Iride and Skye, my two faithful four-legged companions, make it to the top? Obviously yes, they are now full-fledged mountain dogs! Maybe the better question is: will I make it? In the end, I do too without too much trouble; the summer training on Seguret, Grand Hoche, and Punta Clotesse paid off! Here the last 50 meters of elevation are difficult (EE): you use your hands in some spots and overcome a single exposed passage, a few steps and wide enough not to cause problems. From the summit, I, Iride, and Skye enjoy the incessant movement of the clouds that are gradually rising.
