The tour starts in Radmer at the Stube and leads up the easy mountain hiking trail 601 until on the north side of Lugauer the path becomes somewhat more alpine and scree-covered. After the Gesäuse entrance, some easy climbing (UIAA I-) is added until reaching the Lugauer East Summit (2206m).
