1. The camera is located at the upper station of the Lärchkogelbahn cable car at 1750 metres altitude. Nearby is also the Lärchkogelhütte hut. Lärchkogel is part of the Planai ski centre above Schladming. The image shows the nearby ski area and some nearby peaks above it. To the north, the Dachstein mountain group is very clearly visible. Planai is a renowned ski resort in Austrian Styria above Schladming. It is also known for World Cup alpine skiing competitions.
