Description of mountain:
Putrihove klavže are higher situated than both klavže in the Belca gorge and easily accessible by the forest road through the Belca gorge past Brusove klavže as well as from Krekovše. The Slovenian cross-country cycling trail also runs along this road.
Originally wooden klavže were replaced with stone ones in 1779. They served mainly as a complement to the Brusove klavže located about 2 km downstream. Abandoned in 1926, when a flood heavily damaged the "rakes" in Idrija and the transport of timber shifted to a network of forest roads. . In the 1990s, the klavže were renovated, in 2008 they were declared a cultural monument of national importance, and since 2012, together with the rest of the mercury heritage in Spanish Almadén and Idrija, they have been inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List.
Viewing the klavže is possible at your own risk, but it is mostly not dangerous. We can walk on the barrier above Belca, with some caution needed only on the two narrow staircases that lead to both chambers by the flow channels.
