Bohinj iris (Iris cengialti f. vochinensis)
Description:
Bohinj iris (Iris cengialti f. vochinensis) flowers from May to July, grows from 40 to 60 cm tall. Bohinj iris is a self-sown botanical peculiarity of the Bohinj mountains. We will surely find it soon at the beginning of the path across the rocky Komarča right of the Savica waterfall. It grows in scree and along the path and indeed besides mountain avens in summer and in late spring adorns Komarča with its delicate blue. We cannot miss this beautiful flower if we go towards Črno jezero and further to Triglav Lakes.

Similar to the Illyrian iris, which we will find in abundance on Primorska.
