Carniolian Lily (Lilium carniolicum)
Description:
The Golden Apple, also known as the Carniolan lily, flowers from June to the beginning of August and grows to approximately 50 cm tall. It can be observed on mid-mountain meadows, slightly vegetated screes, and forest edges. The protected Carniolan lily has orange petals curved backwards to form the shape of an apple. The flowers of the Golden Apple are very attractive to behold, which should not mislead us into picking the flower, as it has been protected since 1947.

Better, the first valid name is also Carniolan lily (we should be proud that botanists discovered this species right on our territory). The color can also be yellow (Snežnik), mostly orange, never red, as you state and which applies to Turk's cap lily.
