The photo and Latin naming are incorrect. Correct is Centaurea jacea subsp. angustifolia. It is a subspecies of common knapweed. The stem with narrow leaflets branches towards the top with more stems and more flowers. Flowers are the same size as in common knapweed.

The picture definitely does not show narrow-leaved knapweed but Triumfetti's knapweed, as the light appendages of the calyx leaves are visible. I don't know who thinks the leaves in the picture are narrow, as the broad-lanceolate-ovate ones are clearly visible.
