Rose daphne (Daphne cneorum)
Description:
Daphne cneorum belongs to the Thymelaeaceae family, flowers from April to July, grows from 10 to 30 cm tall. It grows on calcareous soils up to 2000 m altitude. It loves dry dwarf shrub communities, sparse forests and shrubberies, rocky grasslands. It is a dwarf shrublet with hairy branch shoots. Strongly pinkish flowers are in clusters of 6-10. They smell like anise. Flowers have a uniformly hairy corolla tube. Leaves are evenly distributed along the entire length of the shoots.
