Spring Heath (Erica carnea)
Description:
Spring heath is an evergreen shrublet on which pink-colored flowers grow. The corolla petals from which violet-colored stamens protrude are closed, surrounded by sepals of the same color as the corolla petals (pink). The spring heath shrublet most commonly occurs in the mid-mountain region or in parks, where it gives the park a large pink carpet.

Today is 18 May 2017. Does anyone know if spring heath is still blooming anywhere?

Yesterday I still saw some in smaller quantities on the path Smrekovec - Komen and I assume it is also still present elsewhere above 1500 m a.s.l.
