24-hour CHALLENGE – Krma Valley – Triglav

On June 27, 2014 at 15:00 starting in Krma at Rampa (Garages), Franci Teraž will try to run to the top of Triglav and back to the starting position in Krma as many times as possible in 24 hours, from where he will start again to the top of Triglav. Presumably he will manage 4-5x to the top and back. Cordially invited all who would like to participate in any way, witness this event, at the start on Friday (at 15:00)… or finish the next day (at 15:00), or join his last run-ascent, starting in the morning around 8-10 on Saturday at Rampa (Garages) in Krma. The challenge will also be media and organizationally supported by his friends, journalists, GRS and Tone Fornezzi - (TOF).
The conclusion of the action will be on Saturday at 15:00 at Kovinarska hut, when the 24-hour period expires, where there will also be a closing ceremony. In case of very bad weather, the event is postponed by 1 week.

Marjan Zupančič told me they were at 22:00 (after 7 hours) second time on top of Triglav. Franci feels excellent.
Tomorrow morning we'll go accompany him too.

Today a large group accompanied Franci on the last fourth ascent. He finished the fourth descent after 22 hours.

It was super. Franci set a record. Winter gear basically not needed on this path.
PS:
Posted in Mountain Running thread, where we talk about running, but I usually almost always add path description and conditions, as this time. If someone (again) doesn't like it we can open thread "Hardcore oldschool mountaineers, plimsoll hikers, etc.."
Anyway safety was well provided, GRS was present throughout.

Five times possible. Six times dunno.
With skis down really faster, but when snow from bottom to top also not so routine to get to Triglav, as today. So that I think drops out.

Otherwise the discussion on how many times someone could do this feat seems absurd to me, like the feat itself, but don't forget colleague Teraž born 62. Never spared himself neither in sport nor at work. That's telling enough.
