Ice good, fewer spectators than last year, but therefore more competitors. Around me all legends from Primož Hostnik to Andrej Pečjak, and Pavel Skumavec... In short, the 2nd Humar memorial succeeded, although there were few spectators, those who were there were all the louder. Winner Matevž Vukotič, second his brother Jernej, third Gregor Berce-Muha AO Mojstrana. In women, the win went to the hope of Slovenian ice climbing, who will soon challenge the world top Tjaša Kosič PD Jesenice. Nice day, the sun played a bit , congratulations to the organization ŠDLPMM and its president Pavel! Bravo!

Three years already since that day when Tomaž last checked in and said goodbye forever. You die when no one remembers you anymore. Recently, Tomaž's friends went to Nepal, below the wall of Lantang Lirung at 4,200 m they placed a new plaque prepared by his family. Photo: Hilda Jelčič Bele

@Irina ; ... You die when no one remembers you anymore ... True. On one hand. And no, on the other. For example; When I walk the peaks, on the border between our and Laško land. Resting by the remains of caverns, crawling through shooting trenches . . . How often I remember those who left their lives there, fighting for such or other ideals. Often foreign, not their own. I don't know anyone's name, but I remember them. At the lonely place. And from books. And they will never be forgotten. On some harder-to-reach summit, rarely visited. Resting on top and thinking. When I think of the "official" known first ascender, I don't remember him. I think of the one whose name we don't know. Who was first before the "official" first. Was he a hunter? Perhaps a shepherd? Or just a curious "local" who wanted to know what's on top and what's seen on the other side? I don't know his name either, and he and those like him won't be forgotten. As long as we realize that there must have been much before, to have what is here now, until then those from before will be in such or other memory. Known, less known and unknown. Someday, somewhere . . . many will remember Tomaž too, even if they don't know his name.

Turbo, very nicely said. Being at the top alone with your own thoughts, near or far, is something that can't be described with words. I know this feeling and every time I'm at the top or on the way up, different thoughts swirl in my head, also about people who walked these paths centuries ago. How, why, were they able to cope with the weather and mountain conditions... Fantastic thinking

The human spirit is immortal. Tomaž and others who have only seemingly left us physically will always be a light for us, how a mortal human can approach himself in the unity of his own spirit and cast off all shackles and conditions of this world. No need to go to the Himalayas for trials, we can start realizing all this ourselves in our daily lives. Where there is spiritual power, longing of the heart (power of the creator, own power), there is also the path that leads us in the right direction. All this leads us to the liberation of our own spirit, the path to spiritual self-realization (rebirth) and later transition to the state of God, samadhi. Tomaž subconsciously knew about the state of pure spirit merged in harmonious unity, he followed this higher path and also departed on the same path, where a person no longer reincarnates and goes to the world of the Creator, from where everything once originated. Whoever frees himself from the bonds and illusions of this world no longer returns to earth, according to Buddhist teaching. As a yogi I think that such an inner spiritual impulse is the greatest noble thing a human can achieve, in an otherwise quite lukewarm and very unfavorable "world" for spirituality. Thus in the parable Sri Mataji says that in the dark you don't know you're holding a snake in your hand, in the light (in the shine of one's own awakened spirit) you become exactly aware of it.

On POP TV just now a report about Tomaž, his family, his last residence and the last photos from his camera. Nice that they remembered the anniversary of his farewell.

In the village below Lang Tang Lirung, Tomaž was accepted into the family as Sat-i, which means a pure man sent by God (pure spirit). The word Sat comes from three forms of naming enlightenment in Hinduism as Sat Chit Anand, which means Sat-pure spirit, Chit-purity of perception thereof and Anand-blissful state with such perception.

Time flies, memories fade, deeds remain. Eight years have passed since he left. And as if I saw him on TV yesterday, enthusiastically talking about future expeditions, about the next wall...

On November 10th, ten years pass since he went on his last journey. A path that leads only forward, into the unknown, a path from which there is no return. Impossible for some, hero for others, even an idol... The mountains call us too, as they called him, each in their own way. And like him, we too will one day reach the top of our last mountain and the end of our path. Rest in peace...

“He was loved and hated, he aroused admiration and envy, he was a role model and a target of attacks, and that is the path of pioneers, that is the path when there are no impossible paths. Explore, my dear Tomaž, my brother, one day we will all walk in your footsteps.” Carlos Carsoli, Tomaž's friend and climbing colleague
