Parking nearby. For Zajavor. Couple hundred meters left from Krnica saddle.

Those are signposts from Krnica saddle or destinations where we can go. From Učje to Skutnik it's about 3 and a half hours.

The road is narrow, believe me. The driving itself isn't problematic if you're used to driving on such and worse as a mountaineer woman, but the problem is meeting vehicles, in season there are also plenty of cyclists who can surprise you suddenly from behind a sharp bend.

I had the chance to see that little church from inside when I went to Zajavor as they were just decorating it for some holiday.

Darinka hi...
we missed each other by one daymežikanje...road despite "prohibition" to Krnica is passablevelik nasmeh, narrower in some places, but of course it goes. As "miri" already wrote, they are really excellent starting points for peaks that usually stand alone, at least my experience is like that. The ridge Krnica-Skutnik is rocky, some small snow ahead to bivouac "Mulec", on Baba conditions still snowy.
Village Učja really looks completely abandoned, even the last farm is now empty, last time you could buy cheese, and even a "friendly" dog barked at you when passing by.
Go higher sometime, worth seeing the fairy-tale Resianasmeh

note "miri", on your photo it's St. Ana, or am I wrong?mežikanje

The road is totally okay. From Učje to Krnica it's really quite narrow, but to be honest there are plenty of passing places, so no long reverse driving needed anywhere. On the other side it's especially extremely steep. But truth be told - no bogeyman, even average drivers shouldn't have problems here. Except of course in winter, but then it's closed anyway.

So we headed today to Skutnik. The summit that stood alone today, as the weather wasn't very promising. It held up. Only the last five minutes to the car it rained heavily. I left the car at the chapel in the village Učeja. Thanks Rozka for the tips. The path is beautifully marked. For a while through the forest past abandoned houses and barns. Then along a long and scenic ridge to the last ridge where Skutnik summit is.
If you leave the car at this chapel, you are quickly on the way to Skutnik1

On the day before the penultimate day of the year we went to Resia for the last time this year. This time we didn't climb any summit, but did a beautiful loop through the alps, sunny and warm and wonderfully scenic... More about where we walked and more photos on the link...
