This weekend conditions were ideal for visiting Krvavica; nice weather, no more snow, ticks haven't multiplied yet - at least we haven't found any yet. mežikanje The path from Loke village is nicely cleared. First 15 minutes of the initial steep climb a friendly dog from the homestead right before parking kept us company, he wouldn't go home. When he reached the edge of his territory, he turned and slowly went back. There were quite a few visitors. The path past the climbing crag below has some fallen trees, which can be easily stepped over.

Haven't walked around here for quite a while and wondering if the hut at Vrhe is open? nasmeh

Yes, hut at Vrhe is open, Zajčeva koča still closed, supposedly opening in May.

Weather dictated the goal this weekend too. We chose nearby Čemšeniška pasture, where we could adjust the goal to the current inspiration from above. They were in a good mood and granted us even some sun nasmeh. From Šentgotard we went all the way to Krvavica and returned in our own way under the ridge on Savinja side. Except for the muddy descent from Krvavica, everything was easy-going; the nice return to the start surprised us. Altogether 19 km and 1100 m elevation gain.
We started at the parking lot not far from Šentgotard.1
Most hikers parked a bit further at the hotel.2
The ski slope has a nice green cover, although winter this year is still lashing its tail vigorously.3
The beeches have already leafed out.4
Viewpoint high above Zagorje.5
Morning mists have not yet dispersed, nor has the weather decided what it should be like.6

Here there are two mountain huts next to each other … the larger Franca Goloba and the smaller Čoparjeva.8
Cheerful guy with a backpack, permanently parked in front of the hut9
From the hut we continued towards Zajčeva hut10
Interesting animal feeder. By turning the bottom part, corn is dispensed.11
As much čemaža as you want. The smell was extremely strong due to the humidity in the air12
Črni vrh, the highest point of the ridge13
Another richly marked junction. The blazes are frequent enough that there is no doubt about the direction anywhere14

In the background Krvavica, the most independent hill on the entire trail16
Another sign for it and the ascent has begun17
just below the summit18
Famous window, through which we descend with the help of steel cables19
The rock is damp, so a bit of caution doesn't hurt20
The descent into the valley was pure muddy rodeo. It felt like walking on a snow-covered and icy crust, only without crampons21
We returned our own way just below the ridge on the Savinja side. This variant is not marked22
There are few farms around here and they are not very accessible23
View back at Krvavica24
Here the marked path from Vransko arrives and continues to Čemšeniška planina25
The views are also beautiful on the way back26
We're almost at the starting point27
Still the final muddy part right before the parking lot28

@cico ... no meadow anywhere around was mowed, probably too damp for drying the grass.
