Miri of course it is. But we only knew it as Škratljevca. Interesting how many years have passed since I was up there. Where we live now, behind the house there are remains of urn graves from several houses and no building interventions are allowed.

Yesterday's summits too, all lower but the views were really nice. Even to the Julian Alps and the sea.
they put a new cross on the tree.1

Afternoon sv. Martin. Not even a solitary hike, because I met quite a few hikers at the summit. And a hiker with whom we chatted and descended together from the summit to the starting point.
The color combination in nature is natural.1

Afternoon Volnik 546m. No rain. Some visitors. Probably more in the morning. Path to the top very slippery. On descent had to be careful. Otherwise you'd quickly find yourself in the grass. From our side there are quite a few paths to the top. We chose another path, namely from Dutovlje. Also possible from Voglje village. A hiker came from there.

Afternoon freshening up. Nice views. But cold and windy. Still two hours of walking feels good.

From Dolcev to Železnih vrat it's real exploration. Firebreaks, pathless terrain, dry gullies, a bit randomly left and right. First to Šumko, Sv. Mihael is overgrown, so continue on the road to junction "Pri Lipi". Soon after junction a sign for Ovčjak (Ovčnjak) appears on the right. Gentle path leads to Mali Ovčnjak, excellent viewpoint. Path continuation from Mali Ovčnjak is real exploratory venture. Luckily hunters recently cut a bit and modestly marked "path" to track on southern side. Need to spot turnoff right, comfortable path leads to Veliki Ovčnjak. Excellent viewpoint. Path to Železna vrata also well visible.
