On Friday and Saturday about a quarter meter of new snow fell. The snow is southerly. Avalanches were also flying down nicely, so at least for the next couple of days don't go higher from here.

Today as a family from parking first to Czech Hut then via Slovenska to Kranjska Hut. Descent via hunter's path, which is very nicely done. nasmeh

Snow on our path was no obstacle, regarding Žrelo I think at least ice axe mandatory. Lots of snow on crossing to Žrelo and it'll stay awhile.

Hello

In the coming days (weather permitting) I plan to hike to Czech Hut and Kranjska Hut. Would start from parking near cable car, interested in which direction for a loop route?

Since the path through Žrelo is closed, only sensible option is ascend to Czech Hut on normal path from cable car then continue on Žrelo retreat path to entrance of Slovenska, up to Kranjska Hut. Return via hunter's path. All paths very nice!

Anyone know conditions on path from Czech Hut to Kranjska Hut via slovenska? Any snow patches and if so safe to cross without gear or bypassable?

From Czech Hut to Ledine you can nicely traverse, before entering the Slovenian there's one snow patch, which I think shouldn't be a problem, path through the gorge is closed. Was there 2 days ago

Yesterday first via ferrata to Czech hut, in the upper part of the via ferrata there's still some snow, below wet, no crowds though, on the way back via Slovenian to Ledine....to Ledinski vrh I couldn't make it because of a lot of fairly wet snow, got to the saddle though...back down via hunters' path then a hop to Goli vrh, which is almost clear except the summit.

Some impressions from yesterday's nice afternoon circular path to the glacier below Skuta and Czech Hut. Up to Kranjska hut on Ledine via hunters' path, down via Slovenian path and on to Czech Hut. No snow on the path. Path over Žrelo is closed.
