pika, in reality it's even more beautiful than it looks in the pictures. You'll have to try it live sometime.nasmeh
cico, this canyoning is really strenuous, but the experience outweighs all the effort.
Someone told me a proverb on Javorca a few days ago that made me think: everything we build we leave behind, everything we experience we take with us.
Thanks to both.
Best regards and safe steps to all from under the beautiful Golts, Janez

Janez, do you have any idea how the trout got
so high up? Same in Srnjak's
basins in the head of Šokata, where old Srnjak
stocked the trout,
whose grandson is
Tomo Križnar! Haven't seen
fish anywhere else above waterfalls!
Nice greetings!
The proverb really hit the essence of being!

cico, as far as I know, the trout were stocked up there by Potočki Peter and one of his buddies many years ago. Those two are also "responsible" for the mouflon being back on Olševa. You've mentioned the Srnjak basins to me so many times that they're on the priority list.velik nasmeh

The day before yesterday in the Globovšek stream canyon. Down below we admired the waterfalls, then climbing above them and of course fishing for trout in the middle flat section. One more, the other less successful.nasmeh Overcoming the ridge to Golarjeva cliff was despite the fierce heat really enjoyable due to wonderful views. From the top of Golarjeva we descended back to the canyon, cooled off there in the stream and for the finale along the ridge to Strevčeva cliff. There Andrej made a mysterious call, whose meaning I saw later at Strevca. As soon as we sat down, struklji were already on the table and very good ones.cool There Andrej's car was waiting, which he had brought up the day before. The trip was great and there will be some nice memories again.

Almost exactly three years later, I went back to this wild world in front of Logarska dolina in pleasant company.
As usual, we started at Klemenška. Golarjeva and Strevčeva cliffs were already bathed in morning sun, while we enjoyed the morning cool until the first waterfall. We were surprised by the amount of fallen trees in the canyon. Despite that, we made it nicely to the waterfalls, which due to plenty of water were each more majestic than the last.
At the first waterfall there was a lot of fallen wood and we had to go a bit more around than usual. So we came back higher above it, descended above it and enjoyed the view of it and the middle waterfall above us. Climbing along the middle waterfall went well for us too. We even climbed to the start of it. For above the third one, we of course belayed. From that tunnel at the thick pine, it was blowing so cold that I abandoned the idea of crawling into it and instead climbed the pitch to the end. Then came the traverse, which according to Neža's comment was quite adrenaline-pumping. But this time I found a new easier combination of holds.
The ascent to the viewpoint above the waterfalls is still fine. Our pulse rose during the descent from it to the notch below it. When descending to the canyon, we again looked for passages between fallen trees. I thought it would be better in the canyon, but it wasn't. So we started ascending to Golarjeva cliff much earlier than usual.
Somewhere in the middle of the ascent, Neža had an accident that looked pretty bad at first, but after care it turned out we could continue the trip. On the edge of the canyon at Golarjeva cliff, we enjoyed the wild nature. On the other side of the canyon, the mother goat safely led her kid along scary exposed ledges in the wall of Strevčeva cliff, while at the church Sv. Duh tourists were carefree enjoying themselves.
Continuing along the ridge of Golarjeva was pleasant, less so the descent to the canyon due to wet ground. We cooled off for a long time in the cold water of Globovšek amid the roar of waterfalls disappearing into many ponors of the canyon. Neža scrapes, I knees.
The ascent to Strevčeva cliff went well for us. Then Neža asks somewhere on the ridge if there are any snakes up here. Like from a cannon I replied no, since I've never seen one. Not even a minute later I hear her exclamation again. Janez, snake! And there it was. Nice young smooth snake. Now I know there are snakes up there. Strevc also had something to say about it. Pretty overheated, we happily stepped onto the top of Strevčeva cliff. Happy that this nice demanding trip succeeded, we congratulated each other and almost danced with joy.
Excellent homemade goodies at the Srevc tourist farm were a nice conclusion to the trip during pleasant chat with the host.

Golarjeva cliff 11.8.2022:
This time to Golarjeva cliff via completely unknown terrain. I parked at the usual spot near the bridge before Klemenča sawmill in Logarska dolina.
Already after about a hundred meters I bit into really steep pathless terrain from the forest road to Čelo between Golarjeva and Jamnikova cliffs. The expansive forested slope with narrow scree slopes below narrowed higher up into increasingly rocky lightly vegetated terrain. Climbing there was really pleasant. Above it all merges into a gully from which I didn't know if it had a possible exit for me. So I stuck to the ridge of Golarjeva cliff, which after nice passages led me to its edge. Above there is a lot of fallen wood from storms. On the ascent to Golarjeva I therefore followed chamois trails right at the edge, which nicely brought me to its top. From there I peeked into the Globovšek canyon and remembered adventures in it. On the other side two were enjoying Strevčeva cliff. The views were really exceptional and so until the end of the trip.
From Golarjeva cliff to Jamnikova navigationally it went quite well. At first the path led through wonderful spruce forest ideal for mushrooms, then through slightly less nice clear-cuts all the way to the ascent on Jamnikova cliff. The ascent is just a few dozen meters, but the descent from Golarjeva is much more. In my opinion close to 200m. Sitting on Jamnikova was intoxicating. Wonderful views in all directions, especially to Logarska dolina.
The descent was tense, as I didn't know what awaited me at the end of the ridge below. Below the ridge became steeper but offered a nice final descent passage. I was relieved that I didn't have to go back up in really fierce heat and then far around to almost the same point. In the gully below I came across a nice gorge through which water from Kisla voda also flows.
From the gully I had to climb to the logging trail by which I descended to the valley. Even the scorching sun couldn't prevent enjoyment during the descent, which offered a view of the entire extent of Jamnikova, Golarjeva and Strevčeva cliffs. So I got the idea how nicely to connect all three into one trip. Probably soon back in that area.
