This time the goal was known, Golar's Cliff from Klemenška in Logarska, alternately through the Globovšek stream canyon and passages in it and in the buttress of neighbor Strevčeva Cliff to its summit. There was everything: walking/climbing on wet rocks of Globovšek stream, catching trout in the middle part velik nasmeh

, varied climbing, searching passages, rappelling, building cairns, caves and tunnels, wildlife, enjoying views and more and more. It was nice, but also very tiring. The nice will stay in memory, the tiring is already forgotten today. velik nasmeh

I meant the one on the flat above Savinja, under Strevčeva Cliff. I overnighted there years ago once.

Globovšek Stream Canyon / Golar's Cliff 1276m / Strevčeva Cliff 1339m

We drive to Logarska three of us in two cars. Plan is to leave one at Sv. Duh (7:44) and drive the other under the buttress of Golarjeva/Strevčeva Cliffs.
When we descend panoramically to Klemenčeva Cliff we notice a novelty, stairs leading to a cave. We wonder if the purpose of these stairs is just viewing the cave, which is actually nothing special, or something else…? zmeden

After viewing we drive under the buttress of the mentioned cliffs, park by the road. At 8:30 we already eye the Globovšek stream. We're concerned about water level and if snow higher in the gully will surprise us…
Soon we spot a trackable hunter's path, follow it steeply up the bank. It leads too far right so we leave it. We descend a bit lower and through the bush find the stream gully. Refresh in the stream, put on harnesses and without protection up smooth slabs by the roaring waterfall. Rock is compact, dry and soon each advances higher and higher alone. But it gets more demanding. Sun shines into the wall and while climbing I pick up irritated ants with my hands. They stick to my skin and soon I feel the consequences. jezen

Soon the wall closes in front of us (10:00). More demanding climbing awaits!! Ropes from backpack, Milan who carries them is happy. Janez climbs ahead, sets belay and I start following the ropes. We can't see each other and give first instructions "mobile" (surprisingly, signal in this gully??). First pitch with Milan we climb nicely. But awaits us...? Traverse!!! Over overhanging precipice wall, which at times has very scarce holds. Janez makes rope protection and we traverse without looking at the abyss below… When all across, pack ropes and refresh at waterfall (12:26). Continue without protection to end of trip. Lots of water in gully (gully narrow at times) and we avoid it on right side of stream. Climbing fluid without issues. Short rest, snack and cross stream to left into Golarjeva Cliff wall. Steeply climb and leave gully deep below feet. Unroped quickly to summit ridge. Higher up, across gully canyon we eye the ridge that will take us to Strevčeva Cliff. Descend (when wall allows) back to stream canyon (refresh in stream 15:00) and tackle the ridge to cliff top. Ridge demanding at times, but rock compact, holds and footholds enough to advance quickly to top. On ridge SW wind cools us and we enjoy views. Globovšek gully further below. Can't believe what we climbed today?
But for me the ridge just won't end, as I already feel consequences of efforts. Finally, step on Strevčeva Cliff summit (16:30). Shake hands, quench thirst, same opinion… BEAUTIFUL, EXTREME, TIRING, SCENIC, CLIMBING TOUR. After which you say: "Wasn't easy, but was nice, would repeat ....just.... not tomorrow!" velik nasmeh

We rejoice at parked car waiting at Sv. Duh… velik nasmeh

On Monday I got a call from Kranjska something, that on Wednesday there would be nice weather and it would be good to go somewhere. The two Kranj guys said I should just pick somewhere myself and so we ended up in Globovšek canyon. There was a lot of water in the canyon this time and consequently the waterfalls even more beautiful than on previous visits. But trout catching was off. velik nasmeh

On one rocky jump we noticed that someone had gone that way, because they forgot something on a root. mežikanje

They can get it from me if they happen to read this. The trip was pure enjoyment. The two companions after the trip over a drink at Strevec said it was something primordially wild. velik nasmeh

From there we also send greetings to Milan, who is with a buddy somewhere in the Olševa area on K24. Full of nice impressions we shake hands with thoughts of some future joint rambling. Thanks guys, you were great company.

This time the goal wasn't Golarjeva and Strevčeva peč but the Globovšek stream canyon that separates these two walls. The idea for canyoning was born already during the first visit to Golarjeva peč two years ago, when Milan and I noticed canyoning anchors. Finally we managed to get wetsuits and last week we experienced this adrenaline adventure. cool

It's something completely different, especially if you tackle it completely on your own. We were like kids who got a new toy. velik nasmeh

We felt very far from the crowds and the mad world as we overcame natural slides, waterfalls and pools filled with clean water and marveled at nature's creations. Only in the canyon itself did we see how magnificent it is, surrounded on both sides by hundreds of meters of walls of Golarjeva and Strevčeva peč. Only chamois and trout kept us company. mežikanje

By difficulty, the canyon can be divided into three sections: upper demanding, middle easy and lower very demanding. My difficulty rating: V4 A2 IV and duration with approach 8h. There are plenty of anchors. We had double 60m ropes, but one would suffice. It was great fun on this very beautiful, demanding and strenuous canyoning.
